Spot On **Update**

I’ve mentioned before my bouts with hormonal acne and how I struggled with finding a solution after my son was born. It’s been a little while, but I feel it is time to post an update and let you know what has been working for me. After I had my Mirena removed, I decided to stay off of hormonal contraceptives because I knew my husband and I would want to try for baby #2 in 2011 and I did not want to have to deal with the serious acne aftermath that comes about when you get off of birth control pills. I started using Tazorac when I stopped breastfeeding and rotate that with Finacea every other evening. The combination has really done the job and I firmly believe the shift in hormones since I stopped breastfeeding has played a major part as well. AND later on down the line when we decide to expand our family, I will nix the Tazorac and use the Finecea since it can be used during pregnancy. I’m very excited about the results and I recommend you consult with your doctor about this regimen should you be looking for a solution as well!
